Digital Marketing Leads: Find Local Clients for Your Agency

By Shivaraj, Founder, loclay · Updated

The short version

Most local marketing agencies win clients by picking a niche and contacting the owners in a few cities. loclay builds that list from a live Google Maps search, adds the decision maker and every published email, phone and social from each business's site, and exports it for your outreach tools.

Pick a niche, then a market

Agencies that say "we help HVAC companies in Texas" get more replies than generalists. Choose one trade where a new customer is worth a lot (roofing, HVAC, plumbing, dental), then the cities you can serve. loclay searches one business type across as many cities as you pick in one search.

What each lead includes

From the Google Maps listing and the business's own website:

  • Business name, phone, address, rating, review count, hours and Maps rank
  • The decision maker, when their own site names them in a role
  • Every published email and phone, each labelled with where it was found
  • Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and Yelp profiles when linked
A loclay lead for a plumbing business: the owner, Maria Chen, labelled 'Found on About page'; her direct email, 'Found on Team page'; the main phone, 'From Google Maps'; a shared info@ inbox, 'Found on Contact page'; and the four website pages the AI read.

Signals for your pitch

Filter by rating and review count, sort by Maps rank, or tick "No website". A business with strong reviews but a low rank, or no site, gives you a specific reason to get in touch.

From list to outreach

Save leads to lists and export them as CSV for your dialer or email sequencer. Emails are never guessed, and shared inboxes like info@ are labelled as business contacts, which helps keep bounce rates down. Check CAN-SPAM and TCPA rules before you send or call in the US.

Questions

Where can a marketing agency find leads?

Google Maps is the most complete source for local businesses. Search your niche in your cities, then find the owner's contact on each business's website; loclay does both steps in one search.

Can I export leads to my CRM?

loclay exports leads as CSV, which imports into most CRMs, dialers and email tools. There's no direct CRM integration yet.

How many leads do I get?

Up to 700 leads per search, across all the cities in it. Plans include 5,000 to 60,000 leads a month, and new accounts get 50 free.
