Restaurants Without Websites: How to Find Them (2026)

By Shivaraj, Founder, loclay · Updated

The short version

Plenty of restaurants run on a Google Maps listing, delivery apps and an Instagram page, with no website of their own. Search Google Maps for restaurants in a city and keep the listings with no website link, or run the search in loclay across several cities and tick "No website".

Why so many restaurants have no website

Restaurants get found on Google Maps, review sites and delivery apps, so a website feels optional until they pay commission on every online order or a customer can't find the menu. That's the opening for a web designer or agency.

  • An up-to-date menu and hours on a page they control
  • Direct online ordering instead of paying delivery-app fees
  • Reservations, catering and private-event enquiries
  • A site that matches what customers see on Google

How to find them

The manual route is Google Maps; the faster route is a filtered search:

  • Search Google Maps for "restaurants in [city]" and open each listing to check for a Website button
  • Or pick "Restaurant" (or a cuisine) as the business type in loclay, add your cities, run the search, and tick "No website" on the results
  • Sort by review count: busy restaurants with no site are the strongest prospects

What you'll get

For each restaurant: phone, address, rating, review count, opening hours and its Maps rank. With no website there's usually no email to find, so plan to call outside service hours or visit.

How to pitch a restaurant

Use their own numbers. "You have 300 Google reviews and customers can't see your menu without an app" is specific and hard to ignore. Call between lunch and dinner service, and offer one concrete thing, like a menu page with online ordering.

Questions

How do I find restaurants without a website?

Search Google Maps for restaurants in a city and check each listing for a Website button, or run the search in loclay across several cities and tick the "No website" filter.

Do restaurants without websites still have a Google listing?

Yes. That's how loclay finds them: the Google Maps listing gives the phone, address, hours and reviews even when there's no website.

Can I search a specific cuisine?

Yes. Type the cuisine as the business type, for example "Mexican restaurant" or "pizza restaurant", and add the cities you want.
